So I read this the other day in my morning quite time with the Lord.  I shared it with a few friends, but wanted to blog it as well.

“To be a disciple means that we deliberately identify ourselves with God’s interests in other people.”

It’s amazing how when God draws me back to Himself, He shows me things He’s wanted me to learn in the process and digs me in a little deeper.  That statement above was very pertinent to what He was teaching me not days before – incredible.

In that same devotion, I read:

“The expression of Christian character is not good doing, but God-likeness. If the Spirit of God has transformed you within, you will exhibit Divine characteristics in your life, not good human characteristics.  God’s life in us expresses itself as God’s life, not as human life trying to be godly.”

I got them both from My Utmost for His Highest Oswald Chambers. Now, I’ve not agreed with every devotion in that book, or with every statement Os makes… because I like to weigh things heavily against the Bible and what God specifically states.

I thought this was an interesting statement though, and it went along with what God had been doing in me two days prior to reading it. Always awesome when He shows Himself to you and then confirms it again, so you (hopefully) don’t forget it as easily next time.

“He must become greater; I must become less.” John 3:30
He makes everything glorious! :)
