This is the story…

… of pride left unchecked and un-surrendered.

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!
The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. (Proverbs 16:18, 21:4, 16:5)

… of what comes with surrendering that pride.

Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. (Proverbs 18:12, 11:2, 15:33)

… of the truth and only way out of the fall, destruction, wicked sin, and detestable punishment of pride.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – 1 Corinthians 14:4-8

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil. – Proverbs 16:6

… of a human life being washed in His love.

Love (Jesus)… atoned for… man.

The end.
